DesignCrowd is recruiting an Email Marketing Executive to assist the Email Marketing Manager to support the increasing volume and complexity of customer and designer direct communications we’re looking to build/send.

Responsibilities
• Retention email campaigns – plan and execute offers to existing customer databases of DesignCrowd and BrandCrowd.
• Designer email campaigns - plan and execute meaningful communications to engage and increase activation of existing designer databases of DesignCrowd and BrandCrowd.
• Trigger & Lifecycle based email campaigns – plan, build and optimise trigger and lifecycle driven campaigns to customers, prospects, designers
• Acquisition email campaigns – find new third party email lists, then plan and execute email campaigns via these third party lists.
• Email newsletters – plan and execute weekly email newsletters for DesignCrowd, BrandCrowd and other sites..
• Analysis and optimisation – analyse and optimise open rates, click through rates, conversion and unsubscription rates.
• Champion – champion continuous advancement of our email features and capabilities including targeting, personalisation, template development.
• Stay Current - stay current with best practices, strategies, and industry standards related to email.

Experience and Skills
• Must have 2+ years of email marketing experience, including strategy, implementation, analytics and reporting.
• Should have knowledge of best practices for email creative and templates, segmentation, dynamic content, testing methodologies.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of Google Analytics , & additional analytical and database tools (eg SQL, Access) a strong plus
• Should have experience writing marketing copy.
• Nice to have experience with HTML
• Nice to have experience with Marketo / Campaign Monitor

Front End Engineer/Developer - Based in Sydney, Australia

DesignCrowd is preparing to scale internationally and is recruiting a user interface specialist who is capable of designing and implementing front-end facets of upcoming marketplaces.

Responsibilities
• Design and implement pixel-perfect front-end features into the existing site using a combination of HTML, SASS, JavaScript and (sometimes) Photoshop.
• Solve design problems quickly and think on your feet in a busy start-up environment
• Develop and maintain SASS style guides and brand guidelines.
• Convert PSD designs into functional pages across the site.
• Implementing improvements and automation to the front-end development environment (e.g. removal of inline styles and move to componentized CSS implementation).
• Collaborate with the team in planning and prototyping product features and updates.

Qualifications
• Must have University Degree with web development/design background

Experience and Skills
• Must have experience in designing, implementing and managing web user interfaces using technologies such as HTML, CSS, SASS and JavaScript.
• Should have experience building user interfaces with JavaScript frameworks.
• Should have experience with building user interfaces which are cross browser supported.
• Should have experience in converting PhotoShop (PSD) files into functional HTML and CSS.
• Nice to have ability to design quality web site page designs in Adobe PhotoShop.
• Nice to have experience in working in ASP.net / C# programming environment.

Community Manager - Based in Sydney, Australia

As Community Manager, you will have three key objectives:
1. Support community growth
2. Increase designer activity
3. Drive designer engagement

In particular, your responsibilities will include:
• Designer acquisition – creating and delivering content marketing via blogs and social media, developing email campaigns / promotions directed at design communities and shaping designer search engine marketing / advertising.
• Improving emails to registered designers – reviewing the current suite of campaign and trigger emails and identifying improvement opportunities, developing ideas for new emails and working with Email Specialists within the Marketing team to implement / execute.
• Building awareness of DesignCrowd amongst global design communities – developing relevant press releases and third party blog articles to build DesignCrowd’s global brand awareness, running offline events and community meetups
• Providing input to designer “product” thinking – collecting designer feedback and developing insights into the designer experience onsite, creating potential product improvements to increase designer activity / engagement
• Recognising and celebrating excellent design – working with the Customer Service Team to recognize great design through case studies, interviews for the DesignCrowd blog and creating new designer awards.
• Tracking and reporting on community activity / engagement – establishing and reporting new metrics / performance indicators for measuring community health and satisfaction.

Your key KPIs for the role will include:
• Designer traffic
• Number of new designer registrations
• Number of active designers


Qualifications
• Bachelor Degree or higher

Experience and Skills
• You’re passionate about design
• Prior experience in content marketing and social media is important
• Knowledge, expertise and prior experience of growing and developing a user community
• Prior experience in email marketing and PR is beneficial, but not required
• You have outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• You are very effective at working independently, but have exceptional interpersonal skills and work well within team based settings
• You enjoy a challenge and want responsibility

Service Consultant - Manila, Philippines

Working closely with the company’s COO, you will focus on providing service to DesignCrowd’s global network of clients and designers. You will have responsibility for handling inbound queries about our products and services, working with clients to get the best results on their projects and engaging with designers to assist them in using the DesignCrowd marketplace. In addition to these core activities, a portion of your time will be spent developing and executing initiatives to improve our business.

The role requires that you’re willing to work an offset week (Wednesday through Sunday) based in our brand new Manila offices.
